| Gynecologic Oncology is a field of medical specialization which deals with the study and treatment of malignancies arising in the female reproductive tract. Ovary, endometrium, cervix, vulva and vagina are the sites of origin of the most common and serious gynecologic malignancies.
Gynecologic oncologists receive their training in a limited number of medical centers with approved Fellowship Training Programs. Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC is one to the few centers in the US to offer this training to physicians.
